2019 F104 Starfighter

92% Syrah, 8% Viognier.  Pouring a purple-red in the glass, the nose first brings savory notes of green olive tapenade, smoky bacon, and nutmeg; as it opens, blueberry and plum notes come forward as well.  The mouth finds more of the smoky bacon, blueberry, nutmeg, and leather.  A peppery finish.  This would go well with a nice Manchego cheese paired with blueberry jam!
